My Two Cents
For a first introduction, this one is VERY impressive. (Then again, I'm biased) Right from the opening pages, you know something big is going to happen. The issue itself is tightly woven, with no real 'drags' to the action. The panel where Bill's hand pops out and grabs Thor's face? Pure awesomeness, and one I could definetly see in a movie with quiet, almost-nonexsistent background music leading up to it.
Then you've got Thor's fight with Bill, which culminates in Thor losing his hammer and turning back into Donald Blake at a crucial moment. I could feel Bill's punch after that too, which I don't get often -if not at all- with comics these days. And Bill wielding Mjolnir and turning into the guy we all know and love is great too. But the cincher for me is when Bill is instead spirited away to Asgard instead of Thor, leaving the latter (as Donald) left behind. The art for the last two panels is filled with stunning... well, as is the rest of the issue, of course. =]
